Virtual: 4th July Olive oil, lemon & yogurt cake: Part 2 Menu

"Have no fear, the easiest cake in the world is here!"

This charming cake recipe goes way back — it's an oldie but a goodie! This is a typical cake of France, where grand-mère would use a little glass jar of yogurt as the base of all measurements for the cake: a jar of yogurt, a jar of sugar, 2 jars of flour, and so on.

Basically, you can't go wrong with this recipe (unless you mistake the sugar for salt) because this cake needs no exact science and no special equipment. Wait, ...what? We're baking, with approximate measurements? Yep! You should, too — it's wonderfully liberating.

Virtual: The Longest Linguine (Kids in the Kitchen) Menu

Pre-requisites: KitchenAid with a pasta roller attachment, and a kid. Let make a linguina lunch! (Yes, I am using the word in the singular. As in, one l-o-o-o-ng linguina will fill their whole bowl.)

Parents: I’m going to try to add dill pasta and saffron pasta in the same session, so that you can work, too!

This class starts at 11. We'll make the dough, let it rest for half an hour and reconvene to roll it out and make lunch!

In this lively Live Stream class, we’ll first make a cocktail, the Cucumber Zinger. Why "zinger?" From the chilies, of course! They’re entirely optional, but a dose of spicy optimism sure sounds good to us! With or without the chilies, the cucumber and lime ensure that the Cucumber Zinger is fresh and sassy.

"Have no fear, the easiest cake in the world is here!"

This charming cake recipe goes way back — it's an oldie but a goodie! This is a typical cake of France, where grand-mère would use a little glass jar of yogurt as the base of all measurements for the cake: a jar of yogurt, a jar of sugar, 2 jars of flour, and so on.

Basically, you can't go wrong with this recipe (unless you mistake the sugar for salt) because this cake needs no exact science and no special equipment. Wait, ...what? We're baking, with approximate measurements? Yep! You should, too — it's wonderfully liberating.

Virtual: The Longest Linguine (Kids in the Kitchen) Menu

Pre-requisites: KitchenAid with a pasta roller attachment, and a kid. Let make a linguina lunch! (Yes, I am using the word in the singular. As in, one l-o-o-o-ng linguina will fill their whole bowl.)

Parents: I’m going to try to add dill pasta and saffron pasta in the same session, so that you can work, too!

This class starts at 11. We'll make the dough, let it rest for half an hour and reconvene to roll it out and make lunch!

In this lively Live Stream class, we’ll first make a cocktail, the Cucumber Zinger. Why "zinger?" From the chilies, of course!
